What dining options do we have?

The main dining room holds up to 80 guests whilst the Old Dormitory Private Dining Rooms holds 16 guests.

How much do they cost?

The main Dining Room generally costs nothing whilst there may be a small charge for the private dining room - depending on the size of your occasion.

Can we have the main dining room exclusively?

Yes, depending on how many guests you have and on what day you have in mind. For example, on a Saturday night, you maybe expect to invite 60 guests if dining off the Restaurant Package. Otherwise, there maybe a charge for the room. But we can be much more flexible if you come mid-week.

Can we have live music?

Although we don’t have a licence for permanent live music, we can apply for a temporary licence for one night.

How much will it cost us?

Look at our sample food and wine menus to give yourself an idea – we might, for example, suggest an aperitif/cocktail on arrival, canapés, a 3 or 4 course meal (including a soup, sorbet and/or cheese course if preferred), ½ bottle or so of wine per person, a Champagne toast, mineral water, coffee and chocolates.

Have a look at our average prices and do some sums – you won’t be far off!

Can you send us some menus please?

Please see our sample menus on our website but remember our menus have to be flexible and change in line with the seasons and what’s available at the markets so we can’t set anything in stone - other than very basic dishes.

How much do you charge for children?

Kids generally eat at half adult price.

Can we put some money behind the bar?

Yes, of course – and we’ll let you know when it starts to run short!

Do you levee service charge?

Yes, we levee a 10% service charge on all bills.

Can we bring our own wine?

Yes, of course – we charge  a corkage fee for wine of £15 per bottle and £20 for Champagne

Payments?

We generally require a 10% deposit on booking and the balance and final numbers 4 weeks before. All payments are non-refundable. All prices inclusive of VAT (unless stated otherwise).
